Catching Up

This week has been a little on the crazy side so far. I have started working full-time at my job and the afternoons have been crammed w/ training in the mail room. Our current mail room lady is retiring (after being w/ the company for 10yrs) and I am going to be taking her place in the afternoons. I have become 2 different people throughout the day...Insurance dept in the morning & mailroom in the afternoon. WOW!! It has been kind of fun being able to switch gears, but there is definitely a lot of things to remember.

Needless to say, my workout routine has not been up to par (in my mind). Normally I teach spin on Mondays, but nobody showed up for class. I was a little sad, but then I remembered that it is the summer and our weather is finally nice outside. I told myself that everyone was outside enjoying themselves & taking last minute vacations before school begins. So instead, I lifted some free weights and did a little cardio on the elyptical machine (haven't used this in forever). It was a good change!

It rained on Tuesday, so I wasn't able to ride my bike to work. I got up early, got dressed and about to walk out the door when Aaron just happened to hear the weather report..."RAIN". Oh MAN, I was so bummed!!! I didn't get a chance to do any working out that evening either b/c we had to go to a meeting for our Homeowner's Association (one of the perks to condo life). After our meeting we did some shopping at Wal-Mart to pick up a few items for our upcoming camping trip this weekend. At least something productive was accomplished after work that day.

On a more positive note: tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy and sunny w/ a high of 75degrees. Yes that's right...I will be riding my bike to work!!! At the end of the day, a group of us will be hiking around Higgins Point and then I will ride home. I feel great just thinking about it!!!

What beautiful weather you have now with 75 degree temps. I would say I am jealous of you but I would not trade that for the horrific winters you have. I think I will stick with my humidity here in AR and have mild winters.

That is too bad about the spin class but it sounds like you made the most of it with the lifting weights and eliptical.

I hope you enjoyed your bike ride this morning.
