This weekend I decided to travel to Seattle to visit my uncle Stan who is currently in a rehab facility. He is recovering from a triple bypass heart surgery that he had about a month ago. After picking up a cake in downtown Seattle, I drove over to the rehab place to wish my uncle a happy birthday. He was so excited to see me! We had a small group of people arrive (some neighbors from his apt bldg, co-workers from the Underground Tour, and one of the diner owners where Uncle Stan eats everyday) to help us celebrate. After the chocolate cake was devoured, presents were opened, and catching up w/ everyone... Uncle Stan fell asleep. It was definitely a success!
I didn't get a chance to take any pics of the party. Uncle Stan had asked me not to take pics of him in recovery-which I could totally understand. However, I did get a pic w/ my grandpa in Yakima on my way over to Seattle. I spent the night in Yakima on Friday to see my Aunt BB and grandpa. I also received my needlepoint picture that grandpa made for me two months ago. It was an incredible present. I LOVE IT!!!
