Wow...what a busy day between spending all morning on the phone with our builder and trying to do daily work while helping customers. Geez! Pretty sure a whole day worth of work was complete by noon.
The framers are about to wrap up their end of things on the house. The carpenter came in to do measurements, appliance placements are almost finalized, guest bath tub was dropped off, doors & windows will be installed tomorrow (Friday, Sept 2nd), PVC pipe will be installed for the HDMI cable (a must in this house)near the fireplace, arch measurements for doorways finalized and appointments have been set to meet with other vendors. Are you exhausted, because I sure am???? LOL

Bye Bye Mini
On Thursday evening when I was driving home, a eighteen wheeler tire was laying in the middle of the road. The car infront of me hit the tire and slung it at the front of my car. The tire was sucked up underneath my car which caused my mini to come off the road about 6-8" (according to Aaron who was luckily behind me). Aaron and Dom (Cassie's husband) were able to buff out the tire marks on the front of my car. However, there was a part on the back of the engine near the turbo that was leaking fluid.
Aaron called the mini dealership (closest one to us in Memphis) on Friday. They towed the mini to Memphis (free of charge since it is under warranty). Luckily, the mechanics decided the part leaking fluid was a "faulty piece" and replaced it for free. THANK GOODNESS FOR WARRANTIES!!!!

We went out to the lot this afternoon to view the progress. The daily change is extremely slow right now. Apparently, one of the buyers who were purchasing a lot next to ours backed out. The builder has nowhere to put the dirt without having to hall it offsite which is a pretty penny. They brought in some rock today, but there is so much left to excavate.
