During our long weekend, Aaron and I went to Washington to visit my cousins and spend time w/ my grandpa. On Friday evening, we stayed w/ my cousin Teri and her family in Selah. On Saturday, we celebrated Teri's birthday by driving over to Whistlin' Jack's Lodge in Naches for lunch and drove over near Mt Rainier. Aaron was so excited to be that close to the mountain that he has chosen to climb one of these days. He wanted to get a head start on the climb at that moment, but the shorts and flip flops that most of us were wearing seemed to change his mind. Yes, it has finally become summer and we were in shorts while playing in the snow banks. LOL

Later that evening, Todd & Teri barbecued ribs for dinner and we ended the evening eating cake w/ ice cream and surprising Teri w/ a Lobster balloon gift. Who wouldn't want a lobster for their birthday??? Once our bellies were full and we had all the laughs everyone could handle from the balloon, Aaron and I headed to my Aunt BB's house in Yakima where we settled in for the night.

On Sunday, Aaron and I took my grandpa for a ride around the country. Grandpa always enjoys telling us about where he used to live and the farmland that kept him busy for so many years. Of course, there are usually stories thrown in about my dad growing up as a kid (I enjoy listening to these). Later that afternoon, my cousins from Seattle (Todd, Carolyn and Garrett) came over to celebrate grandpa's birthday. Todd barbecued ribs (are you sensing that this family enjoys ribs???) and we sat on the patio enjoying each other's company. Our evening ended w/ some birthday cake & ice cream to celebrate grandpa's big day and watched the Disney movie "Wall*E".

Before we headed home on Monday, Todd & Aaron helped grandpa plant 3 rose bushes in the backyard. Grandpa really enjoyed showing the guys where to dig the holes and monitoring that the bushes were placed just right as he held the water hose in hand.

Shriner's Poker Run

On Saturday, we went to Smelterville, ID to meet up w/ one of Aaron's customers/friend "Dean & Sandy Swany" for a Shriner's Poker Run. We rode 4-wheelers for over 40 miles w/ more than 600 people all over the Silver Valley. At the end of the day, Dean showed Aaron some of his dad's old classic cars. Unfortunately, we weren't one of the winners at poker but it was a great day in the sun.

ENJOY! :)

Trip to Fayetteville

Last week we flew down to Arkansas for Matt's wedding. We had a wonderful time spending each day w/ friends & family.

Our friends Tara & Steve introduced us to their little boy "Cade". He is definitely a cutie! I even tried to bring him home w/ me but mom & dad didn't seem too thrilled w/ the idea. Can't imagine why???

Here are just a few of the highlights taken throughout the week.

ENJOY!

Happy Easter

Today is a very special day in our household. Not only is it Easter, but our "Easter Bunny" turned 6 yrs old--"Happy Birthday Molly". Yes, that's right we have our very own little household bunny for a pet. Molly definitely rules the house and knows it!

This weekend was a very fun one for me especially. As most of you know, I am turning "30" on Friday, April 17th (no I don't feel like I'm getting old). I am a huge fan of having birthday week so I started celebrating on Friday by getting my hair highlighted and cut. On Saturday, I went w/ a couple friends (Heidi & Cindy) to Zi Spa to have a facial. This is the most relaxing way to start anyone's day, so I highly recommend it to everyone! Then later that evening Aaron took me to pick up some new perfume "Wild" by Ralph Lauren. Can you say spoiled? Yes, I am definitely well taken care of by my husband. He said that I couldn't go on my birthday trip w/out having some perfume of my choice -- How Sweet.

My mom has also been a huge contributor to birthday week as well. I received a package a couple weeks ago that has various items wrapped individually w/ specific instructions when to open each one. So far, I have been able to open 1 gift each day since Wed. I guess she wanted me to start opening early before I leave town??? Thanks mom!!! :)
As you can tell, I have been off to a wonderful start on the birthday week. Only 2 more days until we leave for my surprise trip. It looks like it will be in the 70's to low 80's according to a weather forecast that I was given this morning. WOO HOO!!!

Here are a few pics from this morning when Molly & I decided to wake Aaron up:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT BB!!!

This weekend Aaron and I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to meet my cousins Todd & Garrett down in Yakima. We surprised my Aunt BB on her birthday Saturday afternoon. Later that day Todd & I took Aunt BB to the driving range (my first time at an actual golf course that didn't involve just driving the golf cart around). Let's just say that Todd & Aunt BB had a lot of laughs watching me attempt to hit the balls off the green w/out hitting the lawn maintenance guy. :) Later that evening we all went out for a relaxing mexican dinner.

This weekend was pretty dreary around here, but the temps have actually gotten into the 50s. Can you believe it??? Of course, all weekend it rained and was a little chilly (but no snow). I cannot express how ready we are for spring to officially arrive this year. It seems like the winter has lasted forever!

Our weekend mainly consisted of relaxing! Of course there was the normal laundry and grocery shopping that came w/ it, but for the most part we laid around. On Saturday morning we made it to the gym, ran some errands, and then went out to eat w/ John, Cindy, & Hunter. It was great to see them and catch up on things w/ one another.

Last week I started a different class to change my exercise routine up a bit. I have officially began taking body step at the gym. It is a whole new workout for my body and my calves were definitely feeling it throughout the week. There were a couple mornings that were challenging to walk, but it got a little better throughout the week. I have also been running for 30 minutes on the treadmill a few days during the week for some other cardio exercise.

Only a little over 3 weeks left until my "birthday surprise" trip from my loving husband. He assures me that we are going somewhere warm for a couple days so I am counting down the days!!!! Any guesses where we might be heading???
